Summary
The preceding pages are meant to provide a general outline of Amgen's position on a number of major issues that may confront staff during their employment with Amgen.

While we have tried to address the major areas of concern that may arise, we realize that there may be times when staff will be confronted with potentially illegal or unethical situations that are not addressed in these pages or in Amgen’s policies. When any situation arises that staff believes may involve illegal or unethical conduct, they should immediately contact the Chief Compliance Officer by calling the Business Conduct Hotline, which may be done anonymously, at (888) 376-5574 at any time of the day or night to discuss their concerns. Staff members may also contact the Ombudsperson (see the “Where to Turn for Help or Report Concerns” section for contact information).

These conduct standards summarize certain elements of the Company’s policies and procedures. For a more detailed explanation of the policies outlined in these standards and a description of the other policies and procedures of the Company, please refer to Amgen’s Policies and Procedures. These standards are not a contract or an offer of a contract and create no legally enforceable expectancy or right in any staff member, contractor, or staff member. Additionally, nothing in this document modifies the at-will nature of employment at Amgen.
