How will I know that my request has been received?
Upon successful on-line submission, an application number will be assigned when the requestor prints the application form. A confirmation email will be sent to the requestor when the supporting documents required to complete the application are received.

What are some examples of funding requests that AmgenMED accepts? Does not accept?

If I complete the application correctly and provide all applicable documentation, can I assume that my request will be approved?
No, please do not assume that a request will be approved. When a decision is finalized, AmgenMED will communicate approval or denial of the request in writing directly to the Requestor. Verbal approvals by AmgenMED employees are not authorized. NOTE: Amgen support of a program should be acknowledged only if an AmgenMED approval letter has been received by your organization.

What is the difference between funding date and program date?
Funding date is the date for which a decision is needed so that work can begin on the request. Program date is the date of the requested activity. i.e.:
Funding Date: 3/15
Program Date: 5/15
Application Date: No later than 1/15

What is the expected turnaround time for disposition of the request?
Please allow sixty (60) days for review and processing of the request. If it is determined that disposition of a request may exceed sixty days, AmgenMED will contact the requestor.

Is there a limit on the number of requests an institution can submit?
No, there are not restrictions on the number of requests that can be submitted, however duplicate requests will be rejected.

Can one application be submitted for multiple programs such as a monthly grand rounds series?
No. AmgenMED requires that a separate application be submitted for each required funding or program date.

The event occurred last week, can I still submit a request?
No, AmgenMED cannot fund requests for expenses already incurred by the recipient (i.e. Donations must be funded prospectively). AmgenMED requires all requests to be submitted at least 60 days prior to the required funding or event date. A rejection letter will be sent to the requestor for programs that have already occurred or if there is not enough time to process the request.

I would like to submit a request, however I just realized that it will not meet the 60 day requirement. Can I still submit the request?
No. Applications received less than 60 days prior to the required funding or program date will not be considered and will be rejected.

Can I change the amount I requested after submittal?
Yes. If you need to change the amount of your request or any other information after submittal, please send a letter by fax stating the change to AmgenMED at 888.758.7776. Please include the assigned application number in your letter.
