Connecting Science, Sport and Community
As the Official Biotech Partner of the Los Angeles Sports & Entertainment Commission (LASEC) and an Official Los Angeles FIFA World Cup 2026™ Host City Supporter, Amgen helped welcome the World Cup to Greater Los Angeles; the region where Amgen was founded and has been headquartered for more than 45 years.
As an active supporter in the world's biggest tournament, Amgen brought the Los Angeles community and fans from across the world experiences designed to engage, bring together, and educate them on how Amgen is helping to fight some of the world's toughest diseases.
Celebrating the World’s Game with the Greater Los Angeles Community
The LA World Cup matches created opportunities to make a lasting impact through community engagement, youth programs, and employee experiences.
During the partnership, Amgen volunteers turned out for Road to World Cup community days to take part in neighborhood beautification projects. The company also supported free youth "Grow the Game" soccer clinics to encourage active lifestyles for kids through sports. And Amgen showed up at fan activations around the LA World Cup matches to bring the community closer together, promote wellness through physical activity, and emphasize how science and innovation can help people live healthier lives.
Amgen's involvement across Greater Los Angeles area celebrated its deep roots in the region and advanced its mission to serve patients living with serious illnesses.
