Susie Tappouni is head of Corporate Affairs for Amgen. She is responsible for internal and external communications, corporate brand and reputation, and patient advocacy initiatives that support Amgen’s business and mission to serve patients worldwide. Tappouni joined Amgen in 2017 and became head of Corporate Affairs in March 2024.

Previously, Tappouni served as vice president of Corporate Affairs for Global Commercial Operations (GCO) and Patient Advocacy. Tappouni also served as Amgen’s Corporate Affairs lead for the U.S., overseeing multiple program launches and corporate initiatives. Prior to joining Amgen, Tappouni held roles in global communications at AstraZeneca and led science communications and media relations at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).

Tappouni holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from Virginia Tech and a master’s degree in Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
