Amgen has earned placement on both the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and on the North America Index in 2015. It's Amgen's third year to make the North American Index and the second year in which it made the highly selective World Index. The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are the world's first and most respected indices measuring sustainability performance.
Three thousand four hundred of the world's largest companies from developed and emerging markets are invited to take part in the annual Corporate Sustainability Assessment. The assessment reviews economic, environmental, and social criteria, with a strong focus on long-term shareholder value. Companies are scored based upon this comprehensive assessment and then ranked compared to their peers. Inclusion in the DJSI World Index is particularly notable, as only those companies that are in the top 10 percent of performers within each sector are included.
