Websites have been created. Memos have been distributed. Video messages have been filmed. Articles have been written. And now? Vintage-inspired posters have been disseminated.

Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, great efforts have been made to frequently and effectively communicate with staff inside the company while also providing updates to external stakeholders, including members of the media, shareowners, potential employees and patients.

Wash hands regularly. Stay home from work when you’re sick. Wear a mask. Practice physical distancing. Visual representations of these messages will be posted on digital signage inside Amgen facilities, on the company’s intranet and internal social media channels, and they will be made available as wallpaper for mobile phones.

The posters are part of a broader content series encouraging Amgen staff to “Avoid COVID Complacency,” whether working onsite at a lab or manufacturing facility or working from home.

This latest addition to the “Avoid COVID Complacency” campaign recognizes the many ways that staff process information in the crowded digital environment in which we operate. There may not always be time to read an article or watch a video. But when it comes to visually driven content like this, it only takes a few seconds to get the message.

If you look closely, you can spot Amgen specific details in some posters, like a true-to-life Amgen lab environment, the depiction of an Amgen employee badge and a lab coat featuring the Amgen logo.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are committed to doing everything we can to keep our staff and their families safe, as well as to help the communities where we live and work reduce the number of people exposed to the virus. We are also committed to continuing to deliver an uninterrupted supply of our medicines for the patients who need them. If you are a patient, medical professional, employee, or member of the community, please see our COVID-19 Information Center page.
